How Does it Work?
We collectively give together, One Give at a Time. Though this is a work in progress, the intent is to work through our (and your) local service groups, those established and trusted organizations that work in the trenches and see the need each and every day. In our community that happens to be Chelan Valley Hope. As we grow we will seek out different organizations in each community to be our partner and use us as a resource. The local organizations will identify the need and qualify the need through their normal process and then if it's a fit we will ask our members to give a Micro Donation to the person, family, or cause.
In the beginning we may only be able to do small things like keep the heat on for one or two family in one community. As we grow, we will be able to directly help families move out of shelters, help people to afford food for the month, fend off eviction, escape domestic violence, give people a second chance, and more, all for a couple of dollars a piece. It's the power of numbers. Help us grow this group and "You can be the change you want to see in this world."
Where Does the Money Go?
To begin with our local Service organization in Chelan, WA has generously agreed to allow us to use the infrastructure of their 501c3 (non-profit) to channel the donations. Donations will go straight to Chelan Valley Hope in the name of Give Naked. Our goal is that 100% of all money will go directly to a person or family in need. Chelan Valley Hope has agreed to not charge any administration fees in the beginning. By the time we are faced with any admin fees we intend on having a sponsor or fundraising through shirt sales or other method to pay for those fees. We are committed to 100% of all money (minus the paypal transaction fee) going directly to those in need, not to office staff.
Is it Tax Deductable?
Yes, Give Naked is under the umbrella of Chelan Valley Hope a 501c3. As we grow, we will apply for our own non-profit status.
